An important message regarding COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

Updated April 7, 2020

Change in Opening Hours,

Here at North Perth Physiotherapy we are continuing to adhere to the WA government regulations regarding Covid-19 and performing strict cleaning of our facilities to ensure the safety of our clients and staff.

During this difficult time, we have reviewed our opening hours and have adjusted accordingly. Please note the changes and be assured that our normal opening hours will return once everything settles.

Updated March 30, 2020

To Our Valued Customers,

Here at North Perth Physiotherapy we are continuing to adhere to the WA government regulations regarding Covid-19 and performing strict cleaning of our facilities to ensure the safety of our clients and staff.

Due to government requirements that allow only 1 person per 4 square metres, we have introduced the opportunity for our customers to avoid waiting in the reception area by either utilising the bench outside the practice or waiting in their car. If you wish to do this please contact reception on 9328 8389 when you arrive at the practice address to inform us of your arrival. Our Receptionists will phone you once the practitioner is ready to see you. Please continue to remember social distancing requirements by ensuring 1.5 metres between yourself and any other individuals. Our goal is to ensure that you can still access the care you need during a time when our health and safety is paramount.

Updated March 25, 2020

To Our Valued Patients,

Press reports over the past 12 hours may have indicated that Physiotherapist practices have been forced to close as part of the overall containment strategy of the Covid-19 virus threat. This is inaccurate and we are open for business and more than ready to assist you to better health.

If you have appointments scheduled with us, please continue to be seen by your normal practitioner.

We continue to take extra precautions throughout the day to ensure the cleanliness of our facilities and will adopt cleaning and disease control methods as and when advised by health authorities.

Please click on the link below to access up to date information on what's open and closed from the Australian Department of Health website.

Updated March 17, 2020

Dear North Perth Physiotherapy Patients,

With the evolving news regarding COVID-19 (Coronavirus) in our community, we wanted to inform you that North Perth Physiotherapy is committed to protecting the safety and health of our clients and staff. Therefore we are continuously updating our practices to comply with the recommendations set by the Department of Health WA relating to the management of the Coronavirus. With that said, we are informing you that our North Perth Physiotherapy practice will remain open unless there is a direction from authorities to close for business. If you have appointments scheduled with us, please continue to be seen by your normal practitioner.

We continue to take extra precautions daily to ensure the cleanliness of our facilities and will adopt cleaning and disease control methods as and when advised by health authorities.

How can you prevent from becoming infected ? The Department of Health WA recommends:

• Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

• Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.

• Stay home when you are sick.

• Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, discard safely and perform hand hygiene. Alternatively cough into your flexed elbow.

• Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.

• Face masks should be used by people who show symptoms of COVID-19 to help prevent the spread of the disease to others.

• Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the toilet; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing. If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitiser with at least 60% alcohol.

If you answer YES to any of the below questions please stay home (you will not be charged for your cancellation) and we urge you to reach out to your Primary Health Physician if symptoms persist.

1.          Have you had a fever in the last 24 hours?

2.          Do you have respiratory symptoms like a cough or shortness of breath?

3.          Have you had close contact with a person who has tested positive for COVID-19?

4.          Have you had close contact with a person who has recently arrived from overseas?

Updated March 15, 2020

To our valued patients,

With the news regarding COVID-19 commonly known as Coronavirus, we wanted to inform you that patient health and safety is a top priority for us. We are following updates regularly from the Western Australian Department of Health as well as other government agencies regarding any updates and protocols that we need to adopt.

Our business has always practiced effective infection control policies and deep cleaning of shared equipment between each use. During this time we are increasing the frequency and extent of these cleanings. North Perth Physiotherapy follows all rules and regulations to ensure that all staff are trained in the prevention, development and transmission of infection.

Although we are actively responding to this public health issue, we are still working hard where therapy, rehabilitation and wellness continue. Our staff are doing an incredible job remaining calm, staying positive and keeping up normal daily routines so our patients can feel safe and focus on improving their health.

If you are concerned about symptoms or possible exposure, please stay home and discuss with your health care practitioner. During this time if you or a family member are sick and need to cancel an appointment, we will be waiving any last minute cancellation fees as long as you call to let our office know prior to appointment time.
